A classic 18th century Georgian architecture landmark, the Tap Room has been host to such notables as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin as well as the Annapolis Tuesday Club.

Come yourself for Happy Hour to get a 1/2 lb. of shrimp for $4.95 or a bucket of mussels for $2. Try Middleton's own draft, Samuel Middleton Pale Ale or the Samuel Adams Octoberfest for $3 or any rail drink for $2.

A unique Annapolis treat is their Oyster Shooter, famous among native Annapolitans. It's a shot of oysters and cocktail sauce that you chase with a shot of beer, surprisingly refreshing.

The Cuban black bean soup is a must-try, and the Bloody Mary's almost refill themselves. Sit downstairs where the ambiance is fun and lively or outside for good people-watching.
Make reservations in the dining room and enjoy a flaky and fresh herb-crusted Grouper or a Black Angus filet and Stuffed Shrimp. The menu is impressively extensive, so leave some time for choosing.
